The Not-For-Profit Advantage

The Largest Family of CCRCs in New Hampshire

What began with the founding of RiverWoods Exeter in 1994, RiverWoods Group has earned a reputation as a smart and strong family of not-for-profit communities. The organization continues to grow thoughtfully and maintain strong occupancy while consistently outperforming industry benchmarks. In 2016, RiverWoods Manchester became an affiliate, and our newest affiliate, RiverWoods Durham, opened in 2019. Each of these additions building upon the tradition of the RiverWoods Group’s reputation for providing award-winning senior living.

As a not-for-profit, our focus remains on improving the quality of life for adults rather than shareholder value. We remain mission-driven — to bring this way of life to as many people as possible — with a long-term view toward the future. We are dedicated to ensuring long-term sustainability — our goal is to be around in perpetuity, continuing to serve more and in a broader way rather than chasing the next market trend.
