Director of Health Services, Carolyn O’Driscoll, was consulted in a cover story article about new state-mandated dementia training requirements.

As usual, RiverWoods is ahead of the game.

RiverWoods Durham partially opened in November, and when finished, will have 72 assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care units. Its sister facility in Exeter has long been thought of as one of the Seacoast’s premier retirement and elder care communities.’

‘Fortunately, we’ve always been ahead of the curve and always had this philosophy of person-centered care before it became a sort of tagline,’ O’Driscoll said. ‘We’ve already been meeting the training requirements, which is eight hours annually for all licensed personnel in healthcare.’
