Informational Luncheon: The Top 10 Early Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease

Guests attending luncheon

One in ten adults over the age of 65 has Alzheimer’s Disease; one in three over the age of 85 .

It’s estimated that more than half of the 5.8 million Americans with Alzheimer’s do not know they are afflicted by the disease. Early diagnosis can help manage the symptoms of dementia and improve the quality of life for both those afflicted and their families.

Over 100 people gathered today at the Abenaqui Country Club in Rye for a free informational luncheon about the 10 early signs of dementia. Presenter Anne Romney from the Maine and NH/MA chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association shared personal experiences and helpful resources that would benefit both caregivers and those experiencing dementia.
