Featuring Anne Romney. Anne, has been a volunteer presenter for both the Maine and NH/MA chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association for the past 11+ years. With a background in education and group facilitation, she has used her personal experience with dementia in her family and her professional skills to help support others who are dealing with this enormous challenge.
Anne also has led Legacy Storytelling programs that bring people in the early stage of dementia together with student scribes who listen and write up the memories that are shared. Anne has training in support groups for caregivers and sees each program as an opportunity to both educate, support and provide resources to those who participate. Anne has an M Ed in Counseling from Lesley University and lives in Portsmouth, NH.
